Kea Board

This lovely board was originally part of a staircase.  This piece is the tread part of the step, you will see nail holes etc which gives the board great character.  The rest of the pieces I got from this staircase are Kauri, but I am not sure about this piece as its quite dark for Kauri.  Whatever the wood is, it has gorgeous grain and colour and is a solid piece of wood.  I have hand burnt a Kea and mountain design and finished it with walnut oil so its safe with food.  Who doesn’t love our native parrot!!  Approximately 41cm x 22.5cm and 2.5cm thick.  Price includes post and packaging.
